With the acquisition of the HB Registration Company in 2006 Scanning Devices added a full line of Registration Control Solutions. HB is known for developing easy to use, highly accurate and automated Registration Control Systems. There are three systems in the product line:
1. The HB Quarter-trol System - A bi-directional proportional registration control system with automatic repeat length variation adjustment. It measures and displays deviation from registration target and generates correction signals proportional to registration error. Correct signals can be used to drive motors adjusting tool position to maintain registration targets. It also features out-of-registration alarms, quick and easy setup, and on-the-fly adjustments.
2. The HB Quarter DIN II – A bi-directional registration control system with out-of-registration alarm and outputs for automatic correction. It is particularly well suited to automatic label application, insuring label position and preventing label feed if registration is not maintained.
3. The HB No DIN series - Controls measures, detects and produces an early-warning alert of out-of-limit registration conditions. This helps eliminate errors, scrap and other waste in packaging, labeling, converting, and similar applications where two or more components are combined.
The No Din Control can sound an alarm, stop a process for intervention or take other necessary action. If an error condition is detected and alerted, the reset button on the front panel allows action to resume after the error is cleared.
Registration Scanners: One of the key components in each of the registration control systems we offer is the Photoelectric Scanners. HB scanners are known for their durability, ease of use and adjustment, and flexibility across a variety of applications.
Three HB scanners are available to cover a broad application range:
- CX6A General purpose registration scanner for most scanning operations.
- CX7 Special purpose color contrast scanner for low contrast labels.
- CX8 Fiber optic scanner for small marks or hard to reach places.
