How the systems works:
1. Using the keypad on the Console, enter the repeat length you require
and either a % variance or specific min/max limits
2. Install a scanner to detect the registration mark on the material being
inspected
3. An encoder (installed on a shaft, or used with a measuring wheel)
measures web length
4. The Console captures the data from both scanner and encoder
and compares the data to your in-tolerance settings
5 Real time measurement data is displayed on the console
6. The display indicates if current measurements are in or out of
specification and a red light alerts operators if corrective action is needed
7. Real-time data is captured by the Console and transferred to a computer
for record keeping, analysis, and reporting
System Capabilities:
- Flexible enough to handle any sized repeat
- Fast enough to take measurements at speeds of 1000 meters/minute or faster
- Accurate to .0020" or finer depending on installation parameters
- Dimensionless system makes it simple to handle metric or imperial measures
and use any unit of measure you desire
- Each repeat length measurement is given a sequence number for reference
- Set console to display the repeat length or any desired average of repeats
- PC software included with system (supports Windows 7 or Windows XP)
Other Console and System Features:
- Console has 16 digit keypad with 2 line data display
- Operator indicator lights on Console illuminate green when
material is in spec., red when out of spec.
- 110 volt system with 3 prong line cord std. (220VAC avail.)
- RS232 interface connects System Console to PC
- Scanning Devices software captures job and process data
- 15 to 50’ scanner and encoder cables available
- External Signal Light powered from Console
Multiple Scanning Options to fit your needs:
- General purpose print mark scanner for most scanning situations
- Special purpose color contrast scanner for low contrast marks
- Fiber optic scanners for small marks and hard to reach places
